After their performance at the Xnoizz Flevo Festival RED came back to Europe to do a full tour. After a show in Tivoli Utrecht it was time for this show in Atak Enschede. The show was in the smaller stage of this venue. But the room was already packed when we arrived.

Megiddon is a technical death metal from Finland featuring members from bands like Deuteronomium, Icon Clan, Random Eyes, Miseration, Sotahuuto and Rammas Atas. Some respectably bands in that list. Let’s see what Megiddon us brings.
Dead Throne is already the fourth full-length album from this American Metalcore band and the first release after their highly popular “Zombie EP”. I wasn’t a big fan “With Roots Above and Branches Below” it was kind of a disappointment after “Plagues”. But they did outdo themselves with my favorite the “Zombie EP”. Now the question if they will continue on this path with “Dead Throne”.

Miriam is a hardrock/metal band from Finland. This is their debut album called Karu Maa released on Bullroser Records.
The album starts with a short intro which gets us to the song Samalla viivalla. This is a nice song, I really like the piano melody. I got the feeling to sing along. But there is the first problem the lyrics are in Finnish. When checking the booklet everything is written in Finnish. So I think this cd is more for the Finnish people than an international audience. With a great line-up Christmas Rock Night was again on our list to attend. This yearly Christian rock festival was founded in 1980 and this year held in Ennepetal Germany. I attended each year since 2007. We arrived after we left our baggage at our Youth Hostel. But first it was time to get something to eat.

This year’s Brainstorm Festival was held 4 and 5 November in club Gigant in Apeldoorn (The Netherlands). With a great line-up with again allot of different kinds of metal. Besides international and national bands the festival again offers exposition, a small metal market and an alternative program in the theater of the club. It was the fourth year already for this festival and I attended every year.
Not One Is Upright is a mathcore band from Grayson, Kentucky. “God Is Not a Watchmaker and the World Is Not Ticking” is their first full-length album released through Red Chord Records.They state in their biography that; “However, above the music is their commitment to Christian ministry through their shows, their album themes, and their lives.”
The Surtur Rising Europe Autumn Tour 2011 has been landed in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. This time Amon Amarth brought As I Lay Dying and Septic Flesh with them.
